Program Overview

Leadership Victoria (LV) has a network of nearly 7,000 Alumni from 35 years of programs, across diverse backgrounds, sectors, organisations, identities and experiences. Our Alumni deal with adaptive challenges and complex organisational, community and societal issues every day, and continue to build their knowledge and connections in the ongoing evolution of their leadership practice.

During our programs, we encourage leaders to adopt and continually practice reflection, learning and self-care. However, we understand that fast-paced daily life can make it difficult to maintain good habits, and limit opportunities to step away to think, reflect, learn and network.

That is why LV is creating space, guidance, and support to our Alumni network through an inaugural Leadership Reboot immersive program for up to 24 leaders, led by LV’s expert faculty and fully tax-deductible as professional development.

Welcome evening – from 5pm Monday 15 July

Arrive at the award-winning Panorama Retreat and Resort in the Dandenong Ranges, network with fellow Alums and enjoy a dinner and welcome from Leadership Victoria CEO, Katherine Ellis (WCLP ‘07).

Day 1 – Tuesday 16 July – Activation

After an introduction to Wayapa – a First Nations practice that encourages wellness through reconnection with the Earth, you will work with your fellow Alums to define the Reboot needs of the group. This will guide the program, which may include peer-case consulting, dialogue, presentations and peer coaching, giving you the opportunity to shape your Reboot experience.

You will join guest speaker Phillip Johnson – an award-winning Horticulturalist, Landscape Designer and sustainability advocate – for lunch at the Chelsea Australian Garden at the Dandenong Ranges Botanic Garden, designed by Phillip himself and winner of the coveted Chelsea Flower Show Gold Medal.

Finish the day by exploring leadership challenges, revisiting your values and motivations, and then a philosopher’s walk in nature, crafting a leadership narrative or reflective journaling, before an evening of friendship and fun.

Day 2 – Empowerment

Ease into the final day with another Wayapa session, then continue your Reboot work, as well as taking time to build strong connections and plan next steps for your leadership, ending the day with a Leadership Commitment.

“ I became aware of many complex and diverse thinking leaders within my LV program. As a result, a profound learning was my personal journey, increased self-awareness of biases and blind spots, and discovering the power of regular self-reflection. This has allowed my leadership style to shift benefiting me personally and at an enterprise level.”

Michelle Blyth (FCLP ‘16), Managing Director, Cremorne Street Bakers
